Natasha GRANATA is a nomadic artist who constantly travels in search of the soul of cities. The soul that hides behind streets and buildings and that we can only capture for brief moments when we feel absorbed by them.

Natasha is a multidisciplinary artist who works with various techniques, from traditional to experimental, using watercolor, ink, acrylic, and charcoal on common everyday materials such as cardboard, paper, and wood. Her lifestyle, with frequent moves from one country to another, greatly influences her art, which is heavily inspired by urban landscapes as the best cultural and spiritual reflection of people. Her motivation is to seek new effects, a new perspective on the expression of sensations, harmonious combinations of colors, shapes, and rhythms that cannot be repeated. Always looking ahead and following her own path.

Her art project was born this way: a collection of unique works—created on cardboard boxes she used to move to her next country—about the first impression of the cities where she found herself at that particular moment in life. A sort of diary of an empty box.

Traveling light, seeking new experiences, moving from country to country, and completely changing linguistic environments, customs, and cultures, we gain invaluable experience. Each time with new luggage, deep memories, and fragile feelings.

"My art is greatly influenced by my nomadic lifestyle that takes me from one country to another. My work reflects my impressions, feelings, observations, and emotional connection with the place where I am at that particular moment in my life."

Each new city broadens my perception of the world, and I learn to see it from different perspectives. From the spiritual calm of a small village in Asia to the frenetic dynamism of a European metropolis, each experience has enriched my work with unique nuances. I've learned to appreciate the details, to value beauty in the everyday, and to understand that every place has its own rhythm, visual language, and story to tell.

This nomadic lifestyle has taught me to be more adaptable and to find inspiration in the infinite variety the world offers. My art has become a reflection of my personal journey: a mix of colors, shapes, and textures that evoke the places I have visited, the people I have met, and the art I have admired. Living in motion has allowed me to grow not only as an artist but also as a human being, and I will continue exploring the world in search of new stories, sensations, and forms of expression.

Painting urban landscapes is my way of capturing the spiritual essence of cities. Each city is a unique universe, with its architecture and atmosphere, telling different stories through its buildings, streets, and squares. Architecture, in particular, is an inexhaustible source of inspiration; each structure, whether a modern skyscraper or an old colonial house, holds a piece of history, culture, and human evolution. I am fascinated by how the shapes, textures, and colors of buildings reflect the character of each place, from the majesty of Gothic cathedrals in Europe to the vibrant energy of urban neighborhoods in Latin America.

Exploring cities in different countries allows me to connect with their rhythms and feel their vital pulse. I observe how light filters between buildings at dawn, how people move like a constant river through the streets, and how the sound of traffic or the murmurs in a café create a daily symphony that brings these landscapes to life. I am interested in capturing not just the external appearance of cities but also their soul: the contrast between old and new, monumental and everyday, bustling and serene.

Through my paintings, I try to convey the emotional connection I feel with these places. Each brushstroke is a tribute to the details that define the identity of a city, from the bright tiles of Lisbon to the iron bridges of New York. I am passionate about the idea that, by painting, I can share my personal perception of these spaces, inviting others to see the cities through my eyes and feel the same fascination and admiration I experience when being in them.

My professional career as an artist has been a long and passionate journey, full of exploration, learning, and constant evolution. For many years, I have dedicated my life to painting, drawing, and printmaking, always striving to develop a personal style that reflects my worldview. From the beginning, I set out to explore different techniques and mediums, experimenting with shapes, colors, and textures, while tirelessly practicing to perfect my technique.

The path has not been easy, but perseverance and a love for art have led me to achieve significant accomplishments. Over the years, I have participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions where my work has been recognized with awards that have strengthened my conviction to keep moving forward. Additionally, I have had the honor of being selected for professional art fairs, where I have been able to share my work with a broader audience and connect with other artists and collectors who value my art.

Each exhibition, recognition, and moment of experimentation has been an opportunity to grow, learn, and redefine my artistic approach. Today, I look back with gratitude for every experience that has shaped me as an artist, and forward with enthusiasm to continue creating, exploring, and sharing my art with the world.
